A horror story is a 4 minute short film that takes place an empty, digital landscape. The subtitles in the scene suggest the type of story that might preface a typical scene from a horror film.
This project is an early attempt at creating something completely digital. The sparse use of story elements was meant to imbue the short with a sense of openness, where the narrative could, to a certain extent, be many different things, albeit horrific and desolate.
The landscape was created entirely using hand-drawn and photographed assets placed inside of After Effects. The digital camera proved very important in hiding the many technical limitations I had at the time.
