The digital set extension on these shots was tricky since there were plenty of elements (reflections, smoke, pudles of water, ...) that complicated the matchmoving proces. Many camera moves had to be tracked by hand. The smoke and haze in the shot complicated the compositing so many elements, where the green screen proved useless, had to be rotoscoped manually.
The set extensions were rendered inside of After Effects using the Element 3D plug-in.
