With this animation I wanted to go trough the full character development workflow. Fluffers (Utahraptor ostrommaysi) is modelled and textured in maya and mudbox, rigged, skinned and animated with muscle simulation in Maya. The feathers were done with Xgen interactive groom. This animation was rendered with Arnold GPU.
One of my goals was to see how close I can come to big studio grade creature effects.
There are still tentative plans to have Fluffers feature in some kind of short film project.
